The AI Psychological Research Coalition First Annual Conference
Artificial Intelligence is spreading through the social fabric like a wildfire. Research groups across the globe are working to understand its impacts on the human mind.
Investigating the interface of AI and psychological health
The AIPRC annual conference is a convening of motivated researchers, policymakers, journalists, public figures, and philanthropists.
The goal is to form agreements on the state of scientific findings and frameworks, and to bring these directly to policy makers, strategic communicators, and catalysts for change.
Conference proceedings seek to coordinate advancing knowledge and informing practice across domains from education and therapy to public health and digital media.
Program
Bringing together experts from across disciplines and sectors, the AIPRC conference leverages the leading edge of research to answer strategic questions such as:
- What combination of methods provides us with the most comprehensive and accurate understanding of the impacts on AI on mental health?
- How can research inform policy that will adequately address the unique needs and vulnerabilities of children, adolescents, and adults?
- What new clinical symptoms may exist at the interface of human psychopathology and consumer facing AI?
- What therapeutic approaches can be provided effectively and safely by AI? What forms of therapy cannot and should not be provided by AI?
- What approaches help people heal from any potential AI-induced psychological disorders, such as addiction, dependence, and cognitive atrophy?
- How can a framework for safety testing and research be established to assure AI is beneficial to human psychological health?
